Billing

Legal services can be billed in various ways depending on the type and complexity of the matter. Here is an overview of the fee structures we offer. We believe in transparency and we freely share our retainer and billable rates. All clients are provided monthly emailed PDFs of all timesheets to reflect billing and allocation of funds. Your matter will have a single point of contact responsible for oversight and coordinating the team working on it.

Retainer-Based Fee Structure With Hourly Rate Billing

Our firm primarily operates on an a retainer-based fee structure with work tracked on an hourly billing basis in 6-minute increments.

RETAINER

This means that we request an initial retainer payment, which acts as a security deposit from which we can draw upon. Each time we work on your matter the retainer will be depleted based on the time worked at the hourly rate. Should the retainer be fully depleted below a threshold amount, we’ll email you for a top up payment which can be conveniently paid online. Upon resolution of your matter, any remaining retainer balance will be promptly returned to you.

After an initial consultation, we will quote a retainer based on the complexity of the matter. Retainers generally run from $2,500 to $25,000 depending on the complexity and expected duration of the matter. You’ll receive a fee agreement outlining the terms for review and signature. Once the agreement is signed and the retainer is paid, we’ll collaborate with you to build a legal strategy that aligns with your goals, budget and desired outcomes.

HOURLY BILLING

Hourly rate billing is the most common method of pricing across law firms. In this model, attorneys and support staff (such as paralegals or legal assistants) record their time on the matter, and clients are billed based on the hours worked.

Our 2025 billable rates are:

Assigned Party
(Using most cost effective party without sacrificing quality or efficiency)
Hourly Billable Rate
(Billed in 6 minute Increments)
Paralegal / Legal Assistants
$50 – $150
Associate Attorneys
$250 – $400
Partner
$450 – $750

What Sets Our Billing Apart?

Our billing practices stand out for 2 key reasons:

Our streamlined approach consistently outperforms the competition, both in cost and effectiveness. Regardless of hourly rates, our clients benefit from exceptional value, paying for what truly matters: expert legal representation.

Flat-Fee Arrangements

For certain services that are predictable in scope, we offer flat-fee pricing. Flat fees provide clarity and a defined scope for specific legal services. Some examples of services we handle on a flat-fee basis include business consultations and single contract review.

When you call our office, we’ll explain the flat-fee scope if it’s applicable and what materials or information we’ll need from you to get started. Additional services beyond the agreed flat-fee project will be billed at the hourly rate.

Contingency Fees

While some attorneys, especially those in personal injury law, may work on a contingency basis—where fees are contingent on the case outcome—our firm does not handle cases this way. Many of our legal matters are not suited to contingency arrangements as they do not necessarily conclude with a financial recovery.
